Students Discover Real Body On CSI Trip
June 7, 2006
Criminology students from a High School in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) discovered a man’s body. The students were at War Memorial Auditorium working mock crime scenes for their class.
After more than 20 years of planting fake skeletons and evidence for her students to find, teacher Sue Messinger said she never imagined the exercise would turn into the real thing.
Josh Rosenthal, 16, stumbled onto the body of an unidentified man near an air-conditioning unit outside the auditorium.
“I saw a hand, so I called over the rest of our group and we found the real body,” Rosenthal said.
Fort Lauderdale police crime scene investigators said the 55 years old man died of natural causes.
One thing’s certain: the field trip was a complete success.
